2025 Indiana/Kentucky Graduation

Earlier this month, the Central Midwest Carpenters held their annual Indiana & Kentucky apprenticeship graduation ceremony. Friends and family of over 450 graduates gathered in downtown Indianapolis to watch their loved ones walk across the stage and ceremoniously become journeymen carpenters, millwrights, and floor coverers.

The graduate speaker for the ceremony was none other than Colin Kwiatkowski, who is the son of District Vice President and former EST Mike Kwiatkowski. Colin pointed out how he had a plan that wasn’t going to satisfy him – so he decided to join the Central Midwest Carpenters for a fulfilling career opportunity.

“As you graduate today, I think we should reflect on the hard work and dedication that got us to where we are. This is a very proud moment […] You don’t realize the amount of work that goes into it until it’s done,” brother Kwiatkowski said as his address concluded.

General President McCarron also made remarks via video for the graduates. “This is a milestone in your career, now YOU are the leaders who will grow this union for the next generation of apprentices.” McCarron spoke to the leadership that comes after graduating to journey-level status. That leadership isn’t just on the job, it’s reflected in meetings, community involvement, and ensuring success for yourself, your local, and your union.

Congratulations to the recent graduates of the Indiana and Kentucky apprenticeship program. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you are ALL worthy of this accomplishment. Good luck as you journey into this next chapter of your careers as UNION carpenters.
