Area Projects

  • Ultium Cells Battery Plant

    We currently have 30-40 carpenters and 70-80 millwrights onsite working with 9 contractors. This $3.2 billion project will continue for another year or more.

  • Trumbull Energy

    Current projections show the need for nearly 150 carpenters and 40-50 millwrights onsite. Over the 3-year project timeline, it is estimated to be a $1 billion project.

  • Harrison Power

    Similar to Trumbull Energy, current projections show the need for nearly 150 carpenters and 40-50 millwrights onsite. Over the 3-year project timeline, it is estimated to be a $1 billion project.

  • Mercy Hospital Champion Campus

    A joint-venture with Turner and Shook Construction, this $90 million projects will be ongoing over the next 3 years with up to 80 members onsite.

  • United Schools PK-12 Campus

    This project will have carpenters and floorlayers at an estimated $60 million in budget, over the next two years.

Area Wages

As of 2022, non-union tradespeople make only 84% of a union worker’s wages. Thanks to union representation and collective bargaining, wages for the construction trades have risen consistently year-after-year for all workers.

Contract negotiation teams fight for raises and majority issues at the end of each contract term. Area wages are subject to change with those negotiations. For more details on wages, please reach out to a local Business Representative.

Carpenter Apprentice (60 – 85%) $29 – $57
Floor Coverer Journeyperson $58 – $64
Floor Coverer Apprentice (60 – 85%) $29 – $57
Millwright Journeyperson $64 – $77
Millwright Apprentice (60 – 85%) $49 – $68

These wages include essential benefits including healthcare coverage, dental insurance, vision insurance, pension and annuity contributions.
